Ledgeriano FAQ: multi-entity cloud accounting questions answered

Ledgeriano is multi-entity cloud accounting software: separate double-entry books for every company in one account, connected by workflows and a REST API, paid for with credits. Below are direct answers to the questions we hear most, grouped by topic.

Product

What Ledgeriano is and who it is for.

What is Ledgeriano?

Ledgeriano is a multi-entity cloud accounting platform. One account can run the books of many independent businesses, natural persons or legal entities, each with its own base currency, fiscal years, chart of accounts and members.

Who is Ledgeriano for?

It is built for groups of companies and holdings, accountants and accounting firms that manage several clients, technical teams that want to post entries from a store or ERP, and businesses in Iran and the Middle East that need the Solar Hijri calendar and local charts of accounts.

How is it different from a spreadsheet or desktop accounting software?

Spreadsheets do not enforce balanced entries, and desktop software usually keeps one company per file on one computer. Ledgeriano validates every entry, keeps posted entries immutable, runs in the browser for the whole team and connects companies with workflows and an API.

Which languages does the interface support?

English and Persian. The Persian interface is fully right-to-left and shows Jalali dates in forms, lists and reports.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Ledgeriano runs in any modern browser. There is nothing to install or update, and developers connect through the REST API.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. New accounts receive free credits at signup, enough to create a business, choose a chart of accounts and record your first entries without a card.

Accounting and standards

Charts of accounts, calendars, currencies and closing.

Which accounting standards are supported?

When you create a business you can start from chart-of-accounts templates for IFRS, US GAAP, European PCG-style charts, Iranian national accounting standards with group, ledger and subsidiary coding, GCC IFRS with VAT and Zakat, and a small-business chart.

Can I change the chart of accounts after choosing a template?

Yes. The template is a starting point. You can rename, add and deactivate accounts at any time; reports follow the structure you end up with.

Does Ledgeriano support the Solar Hijri (Jalali) calendar?

Yes. Fiscal years can follow the Gregorian or the Solar Hijri calendar, and the Persian interface displays Jalali dates everywhere.

Which financial reports are included?

Journal book, general and subsidiary ledgers with running balances, 2, 4 and 6 column trial balances, balance sheet, income statement by function, cash flow statement (indirect method), statement of changes in equity and party balances, with prior-year comparison, print and CSV export.

How does multi-currency work?

You can record entries in any active currency with a stored exchange rate. Each business has one base currency, and all reports are presented in it.

How do I close a fiscal year?

Year-end closing transfers income and expense balances through the income summary into retained earnings and creates the opening entry of the next year automatically. Lock dates stop edits in closed periods, and a closed year can be reopened if you need to correct it.

Can I edit a posted journal entry?

No. Posted entries are immutable so the books stay auditable. To correct one, you post a reversal entry and then record the correct entry. Drafts can be edited freely.

Workflows

Automating entries between your companies.

What is a workflow in Ledgeriano?

A workflow is a rule that watches entries in one business. When an entry is created, posted or reversed and your conditions match, it creates an entry in another business from a template, mirrors the entry with an account map, or calls a URL.

What conditions can a workflow check?

Voucher type, amount, account, party, tags or a custom expression. You can combine them, for example: posted sales to the party Atlas Retail above 1,000 USD.

How are intercompany entries kept consistent?

The target entry is created from the source entry with amount formulas and an account map, so both sides always use the same amount. A sale in the seller becomes the matching purchase in the buyer without anyone typing it again.

Can workflows create infinite loops?

No. Loop protection is built in: an entry created by a workflow will not trigger the same workflow again. You can also dry-run a workflow to see what it would do before you enable it.

What does a workflow run cost?

With the default prices a workflow run costs 2 credits, plus the cost of the entry it creates. Administrators can change these prices.

API and security

Integrations, access control and data protection.

Does Ledgeriano have an API?

Yes. Every business has a REST API at https://api.ledgeriano.com/api/v1, documented with an OpenAPI reference rendered with Scalar.

How does API authentication work?

The business owner creates API keys, which are Bearer tokens scoped to that business. Keys can be rotated or revoked at any time.

How do I avoid duplicate entries when I retry a request?

Send an Idempotency-Key header. If the same key is sent again, Ledgeriano returns the original result instead of creating a second entry.

Are webhooks signed?

Yes. Each delivery carries an HMAC SHA-256 signature computed with your webhook secret, so your server can verify that the call came from Ledgeriano and was not changed.

Who can see and change a business's books?

Only the members of that business. The owner invites members by email and gives each a role with fine-grained permissions, and every change is written to the audit trail.

Does Ledgeriano support two-factor authentication?

Yes. Each user can turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app that generates time-based one-time codes.

Billing

Credits, packages and payment methods.

How does pricing work?

Ledgeriano is pay as you go. You buy credit packages and spend credits on actions such as creating a business, recording a journal entry or calling the API. There is no subscription and no fee per user.

What does a journal entry cost?

3 credits with the default prices. Posting it and running reports on it are free. If the entry is created through the API, the request itself adds 1 credit.

Who is charged when a team member records an entry?

The owner of the business. Costs are always deducted from the owner's credit balance, whoever performs the action.

Which payment methods can I use?

Cryptocurrency through NowPayments, or bank transfer. Bank transfers are reviewed and approved by an administrator before the credits are added.

Do credits expire?

No. Purchased and bonus credits stay on your balance until you use them.

Can prices change?

Yes. Administrators can change package prices and action costs. Each action is charged at the price in effect when it happens, and the pricing page always shows the live values.
